NEW BUSINESS
Our response area includes the CSA4 Zone of Increased Benefits (ZIB). On the west side it goes to Powerline Rd (transformer station) one mile past Snowman's summit on Hwy 89. i.e. we have report responsibility. Technically this Includes the Ski Park, but currently we defer to MSA for medical calls at the Ski Park (per letter from Chief Miller to MSA).
BLS response - if patient is DYING, load patient on ambulance and request rendezvous with MSA for ALS treatment. Otherwise wait for MSA and let them transport. EMT has ability to cancel MSA at his/her discretion for true BLS calls. In case where patient has died, EMT may call time of death if it is obvious, otherwise you had better be performing CPR at time ALS arrives (unless EMT verifies patient has valid DNR). Stay on scene until Sheriff (coroner) arrives.
Utilities - all except the red Tahoe have studded tires for snow. For out of county assignments, first out is 1746, then red or white Tahoe, then red pickup. Be sure to grab a credit card for breakdowns etc.
Reminder - please respond on IamResponding so everyone can see who is coming. If you are ready to go and you can see someone is close on their way to the station, wait for them.
Hearst gates - we are not to pass the gates at the reservoir boat ramp or main road at Pilgrim Creek without Hearst authorization.
