NEW BUSINESS
8-hour wildland readiness drills (RT-130) are coming up (see below), and are mandatory for any firefighters wanting to go on out-of-county engine assignments. Topics covered include hand line construction, progressive hoselay, mobile attack, and shelter deployment. Similar training will be offered by the department, but must be witnessed and certified by CalFire to qualify.
Live fire training is coming up in Susanville.
Mt Shasta Ski Park has asked McCloud FD to staff an ambulance for an upcoming bike race. Undecided yet whether BLS or ALS.
Target Solutions will be made available to all FD members for training purposes. Captain Richardson has been asked to act as training Battalion Chief.
All volunteers are reminded to respond to calls. While call volume has been low, the response rate has been lower for many volunteers.
