NEW BUSINESS
8-hour wildland readiness drills (RT-130) are coming up (see below), and are mandatory for any firefighters wanting to go on out-of-county assignments, including overhead. Topics covered include hand line construction, progressive hoselay, mobile attack, and shelter deployment. Similar training will be offered by the department, but must be certified by CalFire to qualify.
Hearst is hosting its annual appreciation dinner party for firefighters and spouses/significant others on Friday May 16. Chief Vogus will post a signup sheet.
