Control burn south of town is tentatively scheduled for April 11, MCFD personnel can participate with an engine.
Fire Death Investigation class April 17 at MCFD. All MCFD personnel are welcome to sit in.
IFSAC Pro Board testing at COS April 18-19
South County wildfire readiness drills will be on April 27 starting 9 a.m. in Mt. Shasta, emphasis on mobile attack, hose lays, handline construction and shelter deployment All wildfire certs are needed to participate. Let Chief Miller know if interested.
Multi-agency Scott Valley MCI drill is May 11. MCFD will conttribute an ambulance and crew. Let Lt. Fay know if interested.
There are backpacks and fire maps available for the taking at the firehouse.
New ambulance is practically ready for service. Identifier will be Medic 17R.

Auto Extrication class offered at COS April 8-10
Fire Dynamics class 9179 is offered by COS on April 19 or April 20, taught by BC Nate Girard. Good way to experience fire dynamics in live fire environment.
Trench Rescue technician class 9169 offered by COS May 21-23.
Wildland engine driver-operator class coming up in Susanville in June.
TRAINING
Training tonight will be on burn treatment.
