E1715 is equipped for maximum 2 personnel, not out of county. It is illegal to ride in back seats.
E1711, E1712 and E1717 are each equipped for 4 and can go out of county (min 3)
If there are more firefighters available than seats on an engine, priority goes first to those who are most qualified (officer, engineeer, firefighter), then to those who volunteered first. Do not go on an engine out of county unless sure you are fully qualified; if not fully qualified (min. S-130, S-190, L-180 and annual wildfire refresher), MCSD must pay for firefighter's time, but will not be reimbursed by the incident.
CALENDAR
Wildfire readiness drills April 27 or May 18, required for anyone going out of County on an engine. Starts at 0900 in Mt. Shasta.
County animal rescue group meets in Weed on Wed. May 1 at 10 am.
COS Fire Academy graduation is May 3 at 11 am.
Multi-agency Scott Valley MCI drill is May 11. MCFD will conttribute an ambulance and crew. Let Lt. Fay know if interested.
MMSMC trauma review May 16, run review May 20.
Driver-Operator 1A in McCloud May 17-19 and 24-26.
Trench Rescue technician class 9169 offered by COS May 21-23.
TRAINING
Training tonight will be wildland refresher, progressive hose lays and mobile attack.
