Morgan Coley joined the McCloud Fire Department after developing a strong background in both emergency medicine and wildland firefighting. Her passion for helping others, combined with a lifelong love of learning and the outdoors, has shaped her career in public service.

Morgan first came to McCloud as a sleeper firefighter while completing her paramedic clinical internship. During that time, she quickly developed an appreciation for the close-knit nature of the community, the support shown to local emergency responders, and the breathtaking scenery that surrounds the area. The welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community made a lasting impression and ultimately inspired her to pursue the opportunity to serve the residents of McCloud full-time.

Prior to joining the department, Morgan gained four years of experience working in the emergency room, where she cared for patients facing a wide range of medical emergencies and illnesses. This experience strengthened her clinical knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and commitment to providing compassionate patient care. She also spent three seasons with CAL FIRE, where she gained valuable experience in wildland firefighting, emergency response, and teamwork under challenging and dynamic conditions.

Morgan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Chico, along with a minor in Science and Technology. Her educational background provides a unique perspective on both patient care and human behavior, helping her connect with people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

When she is not working, Morgan enjoys skiing, reading, and continuing to expand her knowledge of medicine and emergency services. She is excited to be part of the McCloud Fire Department team and is committed to providing exceptional service to the community. Morgan looks forward to building lasting relationships with the residents of McCloud and serving the town with professionalism, compassion, and dedication.
