Steve Clark has recommitted to his tenure with our department, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge accumulated over a lifelong career dedicated to the Forest Service. His extensive background in forest resource management has equipped him with unique insights and skills that will undoubtedly benefit our team. Currently, he is an active member of CIIMT 5, where he plays a crucial role in incident management and response efforts, contributing to the team's effectiveness in handling various challenges that arise in the field. In 1983, Steve made a significant move to McCloud, California.. This picturesque town, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, provided him with ample opportunities to engage with the natural environment and deepen his understanding of forest ecosystems. Five years later, in 1988, Steve took a pivotal step in his career by joining the McCloud Fire Department (MCFD), where he further honed his skills in firefighting and emergency response. His time with MCFD allowed him to develop strong community ties and a commitment to public service, reinforcing his dedication to protecting both people and the environment. Steve’s diverse experiences and deep-rooted passion for forestry and firefighting make him a valuable asset to our department as we move forward in our mission to serve and protect our community.
